The 'Smarty Pants' is a large pendent light fitting (700mm in diameter). It is made of cast plaster, finished  with two pack polyurethane paint and suspended with three stainless steel tubes throught which run the electrical cabling.It incorporates a compact fluorescent lamp and three halogen lamps.
